RHA NEWSFLASH
 

RHA has selected new officers for the upcoming year. Alisha Berry has been elected President, Zach Maio was elected VP of Residential Affiars, and Brittany Berry was elected
VP of Residential Activites.


RHA VP of Residential Activities, Melissa Johnson, awarded ALAHO student of the year.

RHA Advisor, Danny Hyche, was awarded ALURH Advisor of the year at the annual ALURH state conference.

RHA member Tomorra Harris awarded ALURH grant to attend conference of her choice.

 ALURH recently selected new officers to its state board. Of those, Danny Hyche, RHA Advisor, was elected Advisor of the state organization. Hyche will appoint  another officer to the ALURH state board  from UWA.

The Residence Hall Association is a student organization that serves a voice for all students that live on campus at our institution. We strive to improve the quality of living on our campus.

Let us know if there is anything that we can do for you!


Our Mission

To Create a sense of community within and between the residence halls.

To provide services, information, programs and resources for residence hall students. To

promote the residence hall experience.

To provide a voice for residence hall students to the Department of Housing and Residence Life and the rest of the University.

To promote leadership and educational opportunities in the residence halls.

To promote effective communication within and between the residence halls.

To promote self governance within the residence halls.

To promote academic excellence for residence hall students.

To promote a sense of respect for the rights of all individuals within the residence halls.

To promote an understanding of and appreciation for cultural diversity.

To promote social responsibility through educational and community service opportunities


Our RHA is an active member in our state organization ALURH (Alabama United Residence Halls), which works in alliance with their parent organization, ALAHO, the professional housing organization.

We are also active in SAACURH, South Atlantic Affiliate of College and University Residence Halls and NACURH, National Association of College and University Residence Halls.
